Finito

I am happy with my final piece, its very child like and i think it goes with the jagged moving effect which was desired.

I have explored a variety of different methods throughout the project with photography, rayography, hand drawn methods and playing around with after effects and the odd photoshop elements to it.

I have acieved 25seconds so just about on target to 20 - 30 seconds which was asked of me.

I love love love the ink going into water! One of the photos is the back ground on my ps3 and in high definition it looks absolutely incredible and 3D.
I had trouble exporting the image into quicktime so had to do it as 3gp which is really bad quality.

I will keep trying to get it better quality for hand in tomorrow.

final decisions

In true Imogen Kelly style. Once i put the feature together with the rayograms, and text. It didnt fit, it looked wrong. One of the main words i was trying to think up when listening to the music was ‘hand generated’ Not necessarily the medium, but the movie, with the jagged sounds i don’t think the animation would go when it was all fluid. Being dynamic, non fluid and a little bit scruffy i think it adds to the feeling.
I have tried to put the sections together just with the opening sequence, a section with the sequins and the final ink into water section. I think i’ll prefer the outcome.

Opening sequence edit

I was going to have my opening sequence as the hand made and photo graphed tree but the outcome was really bad.. I wanted to use some animation so I am going to redo the sequence with more child like qualities including stars and the moon to give a nighttime effect, and hopefully use an overlay from one of the ink photos to tie it all in.
